AtaForgeContactBot is an automated crawler operated by AtaForge. It records business contact details that companies publish on their own websites, so those companies can be contacted about relevant business offers.

What it collects

The crawler visits a small number of pages per site — typically the homepage, contact, about, team, and legal notice pages — and records what it finds published there:

• Office email addresses
• Business phone numbers
• Messaging channels the site publishes itself, such as a WhatsApp or Telegram link
• Company social media profile links

Every detail is stored together with the page it came from and the date it was seen, so its origin can always be traced.

What it does not do

• It does not log in, submit forms, or reach anything behind authentication.
• It does not guess email addresses. If an address is not published on the site, it is not recorded.
• It does not check whether a phone number has a WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar account. Those channels are recorded only when the site publishes them.
• It does not rotate proxies, disguise its identity, or work around a block.

How it behaves

• One connection at a time per site, never parallel requests.
• At least 1.5 seconds between requests, and longer if your robots.txt asks for it.
• It follows robots.txt, including Crawl-delay, and respects noindex directives.
• It stops after a small page budget per site and does not crawl deep into your content.
• On a 429 or 503 it backs off and does not return for at least 24 hours.

How to block it

Add this to your robots.txt:

User-agent: AtaForgeContactBot
Disallow: /

The crawler will stop on its next visit. You can also ask us to exclude your domain permanently by email — it is then added to an exclusion list that is checked before every request, so the site is never crawled again.

Access, correction, and deletion

If we hold information about you, you can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@ataforge.com with the email address, phone number, or domain concerned.

Deletion is permanent. The value is added to a suppression list, so if it is found published again later, it is not collected again.

You can also object to your details being used for direct marketing. We act on that immediately — there is no review step.
